Im happy to see the nearly over 50% completion of your noble project out there - the Sri Lanka Budokan to house the Kyudokan, Kobudo and other martial arts you're into.
I haven't heard for so long from Master Oscar HIGA, is he alright? I hope and pray he is always in good physical shape. | Comments: | Hi brother, sorry for the seldom mails, very much occupied with works at the office... we had just concluded our end-summer 2007 by staging Washimekai-Kyudokan Karatedo "SUMMERHEAT SHOWDOWN" last May 27 @ the Pavilion Mall, Biñan, Laguna participated by 10 WMK Dojos in REgion 4 and Metro Manila with around 100 novice and colored belts and with the attendance of 26 Blackbelts.instructors who all served as operators of the tournament. referees, judges and table officials. Part 2 of the day's activity (after lunch) was celebration/ceremony (1.5 hours) to commemorate the Washimekai's 23rd Foundation Anniv and "3rd Anniv of KYUDOKAN-PHILIPPINES". Gave awards/recognitions to Athletes of the Year (Per Dojo), Assistant Dojo Instructors and also to Parents of each participating Dojos. My Daughter's Dojo, the WMK-Saiyen Karate Dojo copped the overall.team champion with 13 Gold Medals both in Kata & Kumite.. After over a year after our official acceptance (my Organization - "Washimekai Karatedo System" to the Kyudokan school in June 2004 and my appointment as Official Representative & Chief Instructor, MASTER OSCAR HIGA finally set his foot to our country for his first ever visit last October 5 - 11, 2005. We met Sensei Higa Minoru, and had trainings with him in his Dojo.
